It's Been A While

These past couple weeks have been quite hectic. I'm moving on Saturday to a new condo in Midtown Atlanta...looking forward to the change. As a result I have been going through all of my "stuff" and getting rid of a lot of unneeded items...the Salvation Army loves me these days...moving is a bit stressful, but also refreshing as I'm clearing out a lot of crap (why was I lugging around text books and notebooks from Freshman Year Macro-Economics for the past 10 years?) I'm also looking forward to the change in environment. I really am elated to be moving out of my Loft...concept was good, but not for me. I'm also getting a roommate, something that I have been without for the past 7 years...we'll see how that goes...Marky doesn't know what he is getting himself into :) . Kidding of course.

Just got back from a work trip to New Orleans yesterday...wow that city is still in tough shape. Quite sad. It was weird to see all the houses with the spray paint on them...still...they look like they haven't been touched. I also noticed that the vibe is just off...this is the first time in all my trips to New Orleans that I didn't make it down to The Pub for a drink...it just doesn't seem ready yet for the city to be back...I hope it returns to its former self real soon...
