Spring

It is definitely Spring in Atlanta...it's not even April and the cars are covered with pollen. After watching the Atlanta ING Marathon on Sunday (and actually running about 8 miles just cheering for people and enjoying the atmosphere) I have a new realization that I am currently sans goals or life objectives. Watching those people struggle and make it to the end of the marathon really choked me up. It is a huge deal to finish a marathon. My first in NYC helped me understand what it meant to push yourself beyond what you think you can do. And, now, as my weeks drift into weekends and back to weeks again, what are my goals? To drink? To buy new jeans? I stay out late and sleep in? I'm not feeling it. I also want to help my friends set goals...it helps to surround yourself with people who are also working towards...something. We may not have the same goals, but I hope we can all understand that personal achievement and elevation is something you can't buy...it takes dedication and hard work. If I can get choked up watching people finish a marathon, I know I have it in me to push myself towards any goal I set.

The God Father

To say it's been a while is a massive understatement. I've been traveling way too much and finally am slowing down. My brother asked me to be my nephew's God Father. Cool! Somebody that I can spoil! And how can you not want to spoil a boy that is so handsome!
